Chief Minister Condemns Pahalgam Terror Attack![]() Pahalgam, 22 April 2025: The Honourable Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, has strongly condemned the heinous terror attack that occurred earlier today in the renowned tourist destination of Pahalgam, situated in south Kashmir's Anantnag district. Expressing profound shock and grief over the incident, the Chief Minister described the attack as an “abomination” and extended his deepest sympathies to the families of the deceased. Taking to social media, he stated: “I’m shocked beyond belief. This attack on our visitors is an abomination. The perpetrators of this attack are animals, inhuman & worthy of contempt. No words of condemnation are enough. I send my sympathies to the families of the deceased. I’ve spoken to my colleague Sakina Itoo & she has moved to the hospital to oversee arrangements for the injured.” The Chief Minister affirmed the government’s resolve to bring the perpetrators to justice, stating unequivocally that such acts of barbarity will not be tolerated. He assured that every effort would be made to ensure the injured receive the best possible medical care and that the culprits are identified and apprehended at the earliest. This attack, targeting innocent civilians and visitors to the region, has been widely condemned by political leaders and civil society alike, as an assault not only on human life but also on the spirit of peace and hospitality that Kashmir represents.
