Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mr. Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, Senior Superintendent of Police Ramban, Mr. Kulbir Singh, and SSP Traffic National Highway, Mr. Raja Adil Hamid, the officials visited several severely impacted locations, including Seri, Boli Bazar, Main Bazar Ramban, the Higher Secondary School area, and Nawi Basti.

During their visit, the Divisional Commissioner and IGP took the opportunity to engage directly with the affected families, receiving firsthand accounts of the calamity's impact and gaining insight into the progress of the ongoing rescue, relief, and restoration operations.

In a display of prompt leadership, the Divisional Commissioner issued directives to accelerate the restoration of essential services, with particular emphasis on the resumption of traffic along National Highway-44 (NH-44). This vital artery, which remains critical to the delivery of relief materials, has been significantly disrupted by the ongoing disaster. Following consultations with officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Mr. Kumar instructed that every effort be made to ensure the swift restoration of traffic movement, and assured the NHAI of full administrative support to facilitate these works.

Moreover, the Divisional Commissioner underscored the importance of a coordinated, all-encompassing response from all relevant departments. He called for the urgent restoration of basic utilities, including water and power supply, and emphasised the need for a comprehensive and expeditious assessment of losses. He reassured the public that dedicated teams have been deployed to ensure that all legitimate damages are accurately documented and compensated in a fair and timely manner.

Local residents, in turn, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the district administration for its swift and effective response in the immediate aftermath of the calamity. Many acknowledged that the decisive actions taken by the authorities had greatly mitigated the loss of life and property.

In a gesture of solidarity, the Divisional Commissioner extended his deepest condolences to the families who have tragically lost loved ones in this natural disaster. He reaffirmed the administration’s unwavering commitment to providing all necessary support and assistance to the affected population, both in the immediate term and throughout the recovery process.

The administration remains resolutely focused on restoring normalcy to the region, with both short-term relief and long-term rehabilitation efforts well underway.
