Chief Minister Attends Funeral Prayers of Senior JKNC Leader Jenab Ghulam Nabi Shaheen Sahib




Srinagar, 22 April 2025: The Honourable Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, today attended the Namaz-e-Janaza of veteran Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) leader and former Provincial President (Kashmir), Jenab Ghulam Nabi Shaheen Sahib, who passed away earlier in the day.

Jenab Shaheen Sahib was a devoted colleague and a pillar of the JKNC, known for his unwavering commitment to public service and his significant contributions to the political landscape of Jammu and Kashmir. His demise marks the loss of a deeply respected figure, whose presence will be profoundly missed within the party and the wider community.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister expressed heartfelt condolences and paid tribute to the late leader’s lifelong service. “Jenab Shaheen Sahib was not only a dedicated colleague but also a statesman whose wisdom and guidance enriched our party and inspired generations. His passing leaves a void that cannot easily be filled,” he said.

The Chief Minister prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. “May Allah (SWT) grant him the highest place in Jannat,” he added.
