Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi Felicitates Students and Educationists at Investiture Ceremony in Jammu![]() Jammu, 3 May 2025: Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, today graced the investiture ceremony of the Student Council at ASN School, Channi Himmat, Jammu, as the Chief Guest. She was warmly received by the Director of the institution and other members of the school leadership. During the ceremony, Dr Andrabi presented awards to distinguished students and honoured several educationists in recognition of their contributions to the field of learning. In her address to the gathering—comprising educators, students, and members of civil society—she lauded the school for cultivating a modern, scientific model of education aligned with national priorities. Commending the role of the New Education Policy (NEP) in shaping the future of the nation, Dr Andrabi remarked, "Modern education along with our ancient historical awareness under NEP is strengthening our young minds to lead the world. Our youth have impressed the globe and the journey is on as the future belongs to us." She described the NEP as a transformative framework that has expanded the educational horizon and will deliver long-term benefits for a rising India. "Innovation is becoming the habit of our youth and this habit is going to reshape our nation on the basis of pure applied knowledge beneficial to mankind," she further stated, underlining the role of creative thinking and application-based learning in nation-building. The event was also attended by several notable guests, including Mrs P.B. Kapoor, Managing Director of Adarsh Educational Trust, who served as the Special Invitee.
