Assam Chief Minister Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma Meets Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in New Delhi New Delhi, 19 April 2025: The Chief Minister of Assam, Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma, met with the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, today in New Delhi. The high-level meeting focused on various key issues pertinent to the state of Assam, including ongoing development projects, regional security concerns, and economic initiatives aimed at fostering growth and progress in the region. During the meeting, Shri Sarma briefed the Prime Minister on the state's recent achievements and challenges, highlighting the government's commitment to inclusive development. Discussions also revolved around enhancing collaboration between the central and state governments to ensure the timely implementation of critical infrastructure projects, particularly in the sectors of education, healthcare, and connectivity.
