President JKNC Dr Farooq Abdullah Addresses Provincial Women’s Wing Convention at Nawa-e-Subha Srinagar, 31 May 2025: Dr Farooq Abdullah, President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), today addressed the Provincial Women’s Wing Convention held at Nawa-e-Subha, the party’s headquarters in Srinagar. The convention witnessed active participation from women functionaries and was convened by State Women’s Wing President, Adv Shameema Firdous. In his address, Dr Abdullah highlighted the critical role of women in the political, social, and economic progress of Jammu and Kashmir, while reaffirming the party’s enduring commitment to empowering women at every level of public life. The gathering was also addressed by Provincial President of the Women’s Wing, Er. Sabiya Qadri, who spoke on the importance of strengthening grassroots participation and ensuring women’s voices are reflected in policy and governance. The convention served as a platform for dialogue, coordination, and renewed resolve in advancing the party’s inclusive and people-centric vision. |
