Chief Minister Shri Omar Abdullah Reviews Amarnath Yatra Arrangements at Nunwan Base Camp




Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, today visited the Nunwan Base Camp to review the ongoing arrangements for the forthcoming Amarnath Yatra. The visit formed part of the government’s concerted efforts to ensure a smooth, safe, and well-coordinated pilgrimage experience.

During the visit, the Chief Minister conducted a detailed inspection of the facilities in place for pilgrims, including accommodation, sanitation, medical services, and logistics. He interacted with on-ground officials and enquired about the preparedness levels and contingency plans.

Emphasising the significance of seamless inter-agency coordination, Shri Omar Abdullah underscored the importance of ensuring both the safety and comfort of the pilgrims undertaking the arduous journey. He directed the officials to maintain high standards of service and to remain responsive to the needs of yatris throughout the pilgrimage period.

The Chief Minister reiterated the administration’s commitment to facilitating a spiritually fulfilling and incident-free yatra, and appreciated the efforts of all personnel involved in managing the arrangements under challenging conditions.
