Delegation from Likir Pays Courtesy Call to Hon'ble CEC Regarding Land Allotment![]() Leh, 19th April 2025: A delegation representing the Lhukhil Gonyul Thundel Tsogspa, led by Smanla Dorje Nurboo, the Councillor for the Saspol Constituency, visited the Hon'ble Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Adv. Tashi Gyalson, on the 19th of April. The delegation was accompanied by the Deputy Chairman of LAHDC, Tsering Angchuk, and convened to discuss pressing issues pertaining to land allotment in Likir. The delegation, which comprised the Nambardar, former Sarpanch, former Goba, as well as the President, General Secretary, and other members of the Ama Tsogpa, alongside various notable representatives from the village, expressed their concerns regarding the current land allocation procedures. In a cordial and attentive exchange, Hon'ble CEC Adv. Tashi Gyalson lent a patient ear to the grievances presented by the delegation. In response, he assured them that prompt and appropriate follow-up actions would be taken with the relevant departments to address the matter expeditiously and with due diligence. The meeting was characterised by a spirit of constructive dialogue, with both sides reaffirming their shared commitment to resolving the issues at hand in a manner that upholds the principles of transparency, equity, and sustainable development for the region. The delegation conveyed their gratitude to the Hon'ble CEC for his understanding and attention to the matter, and expressed confidence that the necessary measures will be implemented to bring about a fair and satisfactory resolution for the people of Likir. |
